Hi!

My name is Gemma Allen. I'm 14 years old and I'm in Year 10 at High Storrs School in England.

When I'm with my friends and/or boyfriend, I'm happy. Usually. But if I'm alone, I'm generally quite a depressed person. I hate not being around my friends but I hate being around my family. I'm weird like that.

A lot of people would call me emo because I dislike my life a hell of a lot and I listen to emo music. I don't slit my wrists and I hate it when people self harm. I don't have a really emo hairstyle... well, I don't think I have. It's not black, no matter what my school photo looks like.

Anyway. Yes. I have lots of friends (I like to think), but my best friends (at least, my best friends at this moment in time) are: Leah, Suzy and Ellie. All of them have been there for me when I was going through a very tough time in my life. Then there's James R, cause he's just plain cool.

...Which brings me onto another point: I have started this LJ so that people who are JUST my friends can read about my general life, and my best friends can read about my life in detail... probably more detail than they really want to read about my life. I'm separating the entries into "Public" and "Uber friends only".

I have had two Livejournals before: belle_jammy and hardtosayimissu - except that I've vowed to never use these again once I've finished transferrring my friends etc.

My favourite music includes: My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Senses Fail, Blink-182, Boxcar Racer, Bullet For My Valentine, Cute Is What We Aim For, Fall Out Boy, Funeral For A Friend, Hawthorne Heights, Josie and the Pussycats, the Used, Panic! at the Disco, Paramore, and a bunch of '90s pop groups.

I'm such a sucker for a sweet talker (yeah). I'm a sucker for anything acoustic.
(and yes, those are emo lyrics but they're also true for me)

I try to be as open as possible to new ideas etc. but sometimes I have problems in accepting people's opinions. I'm the kind of person who'll hold something against you for years if I think you're in the wrong and you don't apologise. Of course, even if some people apologise, I still don't really forgive them.

The reason that I started this journal, REALLY why I started it, is to help me to move on for an incredibly bad thing that happened in my life. Not mentioning any names, but a certain Vole was involved. But I'm trying to move on from that so there won't be many entries with that in (unless I allow you to read my JUST FO entries).

What else...? Oh yeah, I'm obsessed with reading and music. My favourite book is Twilight by Stephenie Meyer and my favourite song (at the moment) is New American Classic by Taking Back Sunday.
